Part 1: Select a public health organization. This organization can be local (health department), national (American Red Cross, M.A.D.D., etc.), or global (UNICEF, CDC Global Health, etc.)
For this assignment, you will explain how your chosen agency or program aims to eliminate social inequalities, such as racism, sexism, poverty, social exclusion, substandard housing, or others, that directly impact health at one of the varying levels of intervention (individual, household, community, etc.). Your report can use the bullet points as headings and must include the following:
· Describe your program’s research and funding as it relates to the elimination of social inequalities that directly impact health. This will likely require access to the organization’s annual report and potentially an examination of

· How do they ensure the program reaches those with the greatest need?
· Explain what you believe are the key contributors to the inequality being discussed.
· Describe what you believe are some limiting factors in achieving the program’s inequality elimination goals.
· Does the program seem to be employing social determinants as a focus, biological determinants as a focus, or some combination? Explain your response.
· Illustrate three successes the program has had to date. Provide dates, locations, and links to the successes being highlighted.
· NOTE: You cannot highlight a success previously highlighted in the course. For example, the Global CDC’s efforts in India during Kumbh Mela

· Discuss the limitations of the agency or program in the overall landscape of public health.
· Assess if you think the activities and programs implemented will reduce the inequality of focus at a population level, at a community level, and at an individual level.
· Evaluate what the organization might need to improve their effectiveness by year 2030.
· Propose recommendations the program could implement to improve its effectiveness in eliminating the focused inequality.
